Cheerful

“Allegro” is the work by Ugo Nespolo located in the fountain on Viale Secondo Moretti in San Benedetto del Tronto. Featuring playful elements such as a large eye, a star, a small fish and a wiggly tongue, the work conveys an image of cheerfulness. Originally titled “The Sneer,” it was inaugurated in August 1999. Nespolo also created two other works in the city: “Work, work, work. I prefer the sound of the sea” on the northern waterfront and “Children of War” in Children of the World Square.
